In late June I took a trip to Death Valley for a few days in the sun and heat. Despite disliking the heat, I really like desert scenery, so it was a good trip even though I felt like I was melting sometimes. I spent 3 nights in the park, the first at Stovepipe Wells, near the Mesquite Dunes, the second at Panamint Springs, and the third at Furnace Creek, the main visitor center. There were a lot of people around these main attractions, but I got away from the crowds quite quickly when heading away from the main attractions. You can see the route I took on this map of the park.
