We emerged from the Siq and admired the Treasury. Like most of the remaining 'buildings' in Petra, it was built as a tomb sometime betwen 100 BC and 300 AD, and it is really not much more than what you see. The facades are carved from the stone of the cliffs, but the interiors are simply small rooms that were used as tombs. A myth that an Egyptian Pharaoh had hidden his treasure in this tomb resulted in it's modern name.
