Unable to get to the ice by boat because the new ice was too thick, and without many places to get to by snowmobile, we decided to work on the thin ice near town. The ice was only a few days old, so we had our funny looking survival suits fully zipped up. These keep us dry and floating if we fall through, important in 28°F, −2°C, water.
