I was surprised to find this site since it wasn't in my 2011 guide book. Above the main part of Hierapolis, far enough up a hot hill to escape most of the tourists, is the tomb of the Apostle Philip. It wasn't in my guide book because it was first discovered in July 2011. The archeologists are still at work in the background.
