Looking up at the ceiling in the temple below the monastery. The stone blocks that make the ceiling are all wedge shaped and hold themselves up like a flat arch, with no mortar. Each one weighs about a ton. It's survived Turkey's shaky ground for a very long time. It's believed that the blocks were positioned on the ground and then the ground beneath was dug out to make the temple.
