Back in Turkey, passing the line of trucks waiting for the border. The trucks were lined up 2 to 4 trucks wide for 10 to 20 km (6 to 12 miles) from the border. Cars travelling south had to use the left lane on the northbound side to continue on. When I went in, I drove to the border and parked in a parking lot there, then took a taxi across. I couldn't take the rental car out of Turkey, and anyway, I wouldn't want to risk a wrong turn taking me to Mosul.
