The city of Şanlıurfa, often just called Urfa, is centered around a complex of mosques and other religious sites and buildings that surrounds two rectangular pools filled with well-fed sacred carp. It's a peaceful area, with tea gardens and lots of people either on religious visits or just enjoying the open space.
