Finally back in Tromsų after six weeks, we had an open ship the day we got back to show people what we had been up to. The different science groups had displays explaining some of our work and we talked with the people as they came through. Here Sebastian, the leader of our group, is explaining the ice coring to some visitors.

We picked up this 5-ton block of sea ice near the ice edge and brought it back to town for people to see. Several of the visitors were tourists who were on their way up to Svalbard, and who were excited to get a sneak peak at sea ice.
